Owner and LEad Trainer
Christian Miller is a nationally qualified powerlifter and strongman. He is also a certified personal trainer with over a decade of experience in strength and athletic training. At the age of 18, he left home and his mixed martial arts career to serve his country as a B-52 Bomber Maintenance Specialist. During his six years of service, he began training both military and civilian members in his free time preparing them for everything from fitness exams to body building and power-lifting shows. Now that he fulfilled his commitment he has returned to the Chicago Land Area where he opened The Bar Gym and Strength Training LLC. He hopes to train and teach the community the functionality based Balance Emphasized Athletic Strength Training or B.E.A.S.T. System that he pioneered which provided the foundation of his physical fitness.
Christian Miller is a veteran of the United States Air Force with six years experience as a Non-commissioned Officer. During this time period he directly supported the Nuclear Mission of the United States by maintaining the B-52 Bomber, or BUFF, as a Communication, Navigation, and Mission Systems Craftsman. Stationed at Minot Air Force Base, he supported missions all over the world spanning across three different continents and has even been featured in Airman's Magazine. He now hopes to give back to the community through utilizing the leadership and team building skills he developed, fostering an environment of honor, courage, and strength.
Finally, Christian Miller is an avid Scholar. He possesses Associate's, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees and is in pursuit of his PhD candidacy. In the future, he hopes to become a professor alongside his training and competition aspirations.
Adam Fengler is a Florida native and moved to Chicago to undertake a new adventure. He could be described as a jack of all trades and master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one. He joined the Air Force at 18 to serve his country, he and Christian were maintenance troops working on the B-52 and this is where The Bar was born. After five years of maintaining airplanes he was selected to fulfill a new role as an Air Force Intelligence Analyst. After nine years of service Adam made the decision to pursue his education and civilian life.
Adam enjoys any and every activity that puts him in touch with nature from rock climbing to skydiving to kayaking Adam is an adventure junkie always looking for the next trip. A Tough-Mudder fanatic, Adam leads a team into every race he can. He plans to travel the world and see what every culture has to offer.
